this girl… is so incredible. She modeled for me before and we hung out for a few hours. Then I got the courage to ask her to be my date to this art show in jersey. honestly, it was the best art show I’d ever been to. Shes funny, smart, artisitic, interesting, beautiful, diverse, similar perspectives, i mean I can keep going. I talk a lot and her very little but that means I value her words so much more than anyones I’ve ever met. Have a good feeling about this :DDDDD
Damn it!!! Im really bummed about this drawing. All i’m seeing in it is flaws. I tried drawing it 6 times… 6 times!!! I usually get it on the first or second try. 6? i need to draw more. The problem was that I was working on this big bad wolf/wicked witch project on my tablet. And honestly that is no substitute for drawing. Over the summer I got worse at it because I was working on the serial killer comic all summer digitally. So for now i have come to two major break throughs in my process: 1. Draw traditionally, paint digitally. I love drawing, and digital drawing is like masturbation to the giant fulfilling orgy that is traditional drawing with a pencil… it gets me by but its nowhere near as fun. 2. I will work in black, white and greys until i am ready to add color at the end. As I draw i will scan my progess so if I do want a copy or to tweak it digitally at any point I can.
I have this idea of perfection and im nowhere near that yet. Got to keep moving
I knocked thi one out the other day. Its been on my mind for a few months now and I’m glad I got the chance to do it. Its actually going to be projected on the anderson building at some point next month :D
